PREDI-LYNCH Joins EARLYSCAN Cluster Partners in Pompeii to Advance Hereditary Cancer Detection

Collaboration is at the heart of early cancer detection.

PREDI-LYNCH recently took part in the 1st Annual EARLYSCAN Cluster Meeting on Hereditary Cancers, held in Pompeii, Italy. The meeting brought together partners from three EU-funded projects — DISARM EU, the SHIELD project and PREDI-LYNCH — marking an important step in the collaboration between initiatives working on hereditary and high-risk cancer.

Brought together under the EARLYSCAN cluster, the three projects share a common goal: to advance early cancer detection in hereditary and high-risk cancer contexts through innovative research, non-invasive approaches, liquid biopsy, data, and patient-centred strategies across Europe.

The meeting in Pompeii offered a valuable opportunity to connect expertise, exchange knowledge and identify new avenues for collaboration. Discussions centred on how the three projects’ complementary approaches — from data and liquid biopsy to prevention and care pathways — can be combined to accelerate progress towards more accurate, accessible and timely cancer detection for people and families at increased risk.
